EasiTap (Hinged) has a threaded tapping outlet (off-take port) engineered to create a new branch connection or attach service lines without interrupting pipeline operation. It enables controlled fluid extraction or system expansion while maintaining pipeline integrity, eliminating the need for shutdowns or cutting into the existing line.

Unique Hinged Design for Under Pressure Repairs

The EasiTap (Hinged) is available for pipe sizes DN80, DN100 and DN150. It uses two connected halves that fully open, allowing rapid placement over the pipe. Once positioned, the halves close under their own weight and are secured by self-retaining bolts, eliminating the need to manually align separate clamp sections.

EasiTap (Hinged) delivers a permanent, leak-tight seal even on heavily corroded pipe surfaces. Their 100% circumferential EPDM ‘Waffle’ gasket accommodates both longitudinal and circumferential cracks. The WRAS-approved EPDM gasket supports 16 bar working pressure and 24 bar site test pressure.

Quick Efficient Installation

EasiTap (Hinged) can be installed under pressure and in any weather, avoiding costly shutdowns. The single-piece installation reduces the time an operator spends near a damaged pipe. However, with only two bolts, the clamp offers limited realignment capability, making it best suited for pinhole corrosion, impact damage and longitudinal fractures rather than complex pipe breaks. Installation requires no specialist tools just a torque wrench to verify correct bolt loading.

Trench-side Installation

EasiTap (Hinged) has integrated lugs that allow attachment to trench side installation tools. This removes the need for personnel to enter the excavation, improving safety and operational efficiency.
