Viking Johnsons UltraGrip range of very wide tolerance couplings, flange adaptors and end caps, which were initially developed for the demanding specification of the German Water industry are now available in the UK.

Designed specifically to join plain-ended pipes, the coupling is supplied complete with grippers that retain and seal most pipeline materials equally effectively and restrain axial movement, making it particularly suitable for transitions – from PE to cast iron, for example. UltraGrip allows for 8 degrees of angularity between pipes in the Flex and Gripping versions.

UltraGrip’s versatility is further enhanced by its exceptionally wide tolerance range – up to 44mm, which simplifies stockholding and installation alike. In appropriate cases, pipes of different materials and diameters can be joined by a single UltraGrip coupling.

End caps are used to blank off pipe ends – permanently, or temporarily when a main is bypassed during rehabilitation, for example – and to provide threaded off-takes to existing pipework.

All products in the UltraGrip range, which extends from DN50 to DN300, are coated in Rilsan Nylon 11 and supplied pre-assembled, with captive non-rotating bolt heads that can be tightened with a single spanner.
