Multiple Configuration Variants

Viking Johnson wall couplings are available in nine variations designed to sit flush between formwork panels. Multiple end configurations accommodate diverse site conditions, offering a robust alternative for passing pipes through walls or slabs while maintaining installation flexibility.

Easier Installation

A Viking Johnson wall coupling held rigidly between shutters removes the need for boxing out, enabling a single continuous concrete pour. This eliminates leak paths typically formed at construction joints.

Accommodating Ground Settlement

A standard Type 1 coupling provides independent pipe insertion on both sides of the wall and allows up to 3° angular deflection, improving alignment and reducing installation time.

Minimise Components. Maximise Settlement Performance

The wall coupling forms the first rocker/settlement joint directly within the wall’s shear face, where movement control is most effective. Only one additional coupling is required to complete the settlement arrangement, reducing material and installation costs.

Structural Strength Requirement

Viking Johnson recommends verifying that the concrete wall can withstand forces generated by system working pressure and any loads transmitted through the coupling. Ensuring adequate structural capacity is essential for long-term performance and safety.
