Glynwed France, a Viking Johnson distributor, has supplied twenty UltraGrip Flange Adaptors & Couplings to main contractor SNTPE as part of the installation build for a new mains water network.

Large tolerance, reliable and high quality standard products were specified by SERPN in order to ensure that there was a guaranteed water supply to the city of Bourg Achard in Northern France.

The existing carbon steel pipework has eroded and will now be replaced with a ductile pipe network. Supplied in a range of sizes, from DN80 to DN300, the UltraGrip is a perfect choice for joining a diverse range of pipe materials.

Not only were they chosen because of their durability and design life expectancy of 50 years, but because of their ease of installation. The product is pre-assembled prior to installation, which makes it easier for the engineers, as they can quickly position over any pipe with tolerance range. Captive bolts can also be reversed where space is limited and only requires a single spanner or wrench to tighten.

UltraGrip is an outstanding solution for situations in which engineers are under pressure or in confined spaces, or for repair situations in which a section of a pipe must be removed or replaced.
