The Victory Pipe Joint Company was formed shortly after World War I. The original company registration document dates the registration of The Victory Pipe Joint Company at 23 July1919.

August 1922 The company name was changed to The Victaulic Company Limited.
1927 The then steel producer, Stewarts & Lloyds acquired a 70% controlling interest share from the original owners.
1942 Victaulic moved to a 10 acre green field site in Hitchin designated for industrial development and this site remained undamaged by air raids!
1957 The plastic pipe extrusion business was started in the Elstree Rubber Works.
1962 Stewarts & Lloyds obtained 100% control.
1967 Following the nationalisation of Stewarts & Lloyds, Victaulic and Stewarts & Lloyds became wholly owned by BSC. We formed part of the British Steel Corporation Tubes Division's Stanton Staveley Group.
April 1983 Buy out from the British Steel Corporation and The Victaulic Company plc was formed.
June 1987 The company changed its name to Victaulic PLC.
August 1995 Acquired by Glynwed Pipesystems Limited.
June 2003 Crane Limited, a Crane Co. company purchases Viking Johnson.
